DevLoL is a hackerspace that offers technically enthusiastic and interested people the opportunity to pursue their creative urge in an enjoyable way. New and exciting project ideas are communicated, cultivated, and implemented through collaborative organization. The shared joy of creatively working with technology becomes the guiding principle.

DevLoL started as an informal group in 2012. Soon after, an association was founded (see imprint), and since August 2013, we've been located at Hofgasse 19. We meet every Thursday for Hacknacht (Hack Night) and also hold other events or participate together in hacker camps and conferences. We place more emphasis on community than a typical makerspace or FabLab would. Membership in the association is not required to be part of DevLoL. Visitors are always welcome.

Electronics and hardware are of course used in our robots, sports equipment and self-built, motorized-programmable lighting systems.

The concept itself has been quite appealing, as has the following creation from the "foodhacks" category: Matelade - homemade jam made from Austrian organic fruits boiled with tea spices for a special touch.

To do justice to this broad spectrum, in addition to cohesion and helpfulness within the group, knowledge is also an important resource, which is jointly covered, researched and expanded by the members.
