"Here be Dragons!"

Especially in the domain of art (graphics, audio, video, ...), the term "Free Software" seems to be hardly known - also the similar term "Open Source" appears to be seen as urban legend, wrapped in myths, causing its reputation to suffer.

In antique / historic world maps outermost unknown regions were often illustrated with giant sea snakes, dragons and other fairy tale creatures: "Here be dragons!"
Today, it's often prejudices like: "way too complicated", "feature X is missing" or "software is something for technicians and nerds", which discourage many from exploring the less-known and to discover new worlds.

In this workshop we will try to hunt down the personal challenges about audio, graphics and software-based art-installations, hopefully offering the attendees practical solutions to take back home.

The Workshop will be in english or german depending on the participants!
