Christopher Csikszentmihalyi is a technologist, humanist, designer, and artist. His work is focused on designing information and communications technologies for political change and assisting communities in mitigating the negative aspects of globalism. He is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Computing and Information Science at Cornell University and a Faculty Fellow with the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability. His recent work includes human-scale robots for street protests, corporate accountability for environmental justice, and analysis of technology ecosystems in sub-Saharan Africa. He was a co-founder and director of the MIT Center for Civic Media, directed the Computing Culture research group at MIT, and was the European Research Area Chair in HCI.
