HTTLAB (short for How to Think Like a Bot) grew out of a course at the University of Art and Design Linz. We work as an artistic-research setting to critically question some of the foundations of generative AI, experimenting with counter-practices through ambiguity, detours, and deliberate stupidity to reclaim freedom from the efficiency logic of plausibility machines. Our members are Moritz Böttjer, Stefan Decker, Max Menschhorn, Sookie-Celeste Simair, and Nina Wenhart.
