Vaping Vampire

“Vaping Vampire” is part of Christina’s artistic research circulating around digital infrastructures and their impact on aquatic ecosystems. Since 2015, she follows closely a piece of land in the Austrian countryside that is to become Google’s first data center here. After 17 years of rumors the construction started in February. What does this mean if the “Cloud” finally arrives and how will it change the composition of the region, including the adjacent wetlands and rivers?
